My TOTD was a short daily encouraging text message that I started sending to my closest contacts over the last four years and now I’ve decided to make it a tad bit longer and post on the site. Enjoy.

JAY’s TOTD: Old Caribbean people say, “God eh go send yuh somewhere and eh pay yuh passage!” Simply put, he will not put you in a situation you are not prepared to handle.

Sometimes we beat ourselves up too much. It’s time you give yourself credit. You are stronger than you know.
Imagine coming to a country you’ve never been to before, with $75 in your name and no where to sleep when you arrive at the airport. Imagine starting a new life during a winter you’ve never experienced before.
Imagine losing all you had by fire, left with only the clothes on your back!
Have you ever lost someone so close to you, you thought you would never live through the pain you felt?
Sometimes it even feels like life is just dealing you a bad set of cards to play, from worse to worse…trust me there is a reason…don’t give up!
You have come a long way, only by God’s grace and your determination. I’m sure at your lowest and most challenging moments you probably felt you couldn’t make it through, yet here you are reminiscing! God never gives you more than you can bear. If you have it, you can handle.
As you go through your day, find solace knowing that God has predestined your life. He sees all and knows all and above all, he knows your capabilities.
This is only a test of your faith….stay encouraged.
