Reggae songstress Etana is fresh off her 12-city US tour promoting her second album “Free Expressions.”
This is Etana’s sophomore album “Free Expressions” and it is garnering success on reggae charts around the world. The US tour which began on May 10th after her 2-week South America tour.
“South America was a good start to the summer,” said Etana. “Though we were the only dark-skinned people there most of the time, race wasn’t an issue and we were all one in reggae music. Ska music especially is alive and well over there, and trust me, the people love reggae music bad! If you follow dem you sing all night and they won’t stop dancing.”
Regarding the US tour, Etana said that while she knew her sophomore album Free Expressions was gaining significant traction in North America, she did not expect her audiences to know all the new songs she incorporated into her set.
“People respond to the new songs just the same as the older ones,” she said. “They love them and I’m so grateful for that. Some crowds have gone as far as to even ask me to sing certain songs in my set, like Dance off the new album or I Got You. All the crowds so far just go crazy over People Talk. They know it, love it, and sing it word for word!”
During her tour she performed in Denver, Salt Lake City, Oregon, San Francisco, Sacramento, California and climaxed with a stellar appearance at the Best of The Best Concert in Miami.
Europe look out for Etana, she starts her tour there in July.
