The Toronto International Jamaica Day Festival will be honouring two major influences and contributors to the reggae music industry, Freddie McGregor and Copeland Forbes.
Jamaica’s most prolific global tour manager, artist manger and reggae historian Copeland Forbes, as well as veteran reggae artiste and head of the Big Ship Records label Freddie McGregor will be honored for their outstanding contribution to the reggae music at a private reception to be held in New Kingston on Monday, June 20.
McGregor will receive the Toronto International Jamaica Day Lifetime Achievement Award while Forbes will be given the Toronto International Jamaica Day Legend Award.
