Now that the dust has settled and the initial reaction is over and I can think straight again, I asked a few of our Caribbean celebs to chime in on the Casey Anthony verdict.
Here’s what they had to say:

Casey Anthony went partying after her child was missing and got a “Bella Vita” (beautiful life) tattoo two weeks after Caylee disappearance. I don’t now any West Indian mother than would not be totally distraught and unable to live over her missing baby….far less to be out partying and living “la vida loca!” So if Casey Anthony didn’t kill that two year old baby, who did?
Summary of the death of Caylee Anthony and the trial of her mother Casey Anthony:
Caylee Marie Anthony (August 9, 2005 – June 16, 2008) was a child from Orlando, Florida, whose disappearance in June 2008 attracted national media attention. Caylee’s skeletal remains were discovered December 11, 2008, five months after she was reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony. Her mother, Casey Anthony, decided not to report her daughter missing, and was indicted on charges of felony murder. She continued to maintain her innocence throughout her trial.
On July 5, 2011, Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murder one (premeditated murder), aggravated manslaughter, aggravated child abuse, but guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officers.
Anthony faces a maximum of one year in county jail for each count she was found guilty of. Due to already having spent almost three years in county jail awaiting trial, it is possible, having already time-served, that she may be released on the date of her sentencing, July 7, 2011.
Do you think Casey Anthony murdered her child?
