Does trouble love Mavado or does the artiste love trouble? Every month the artiste’s name is called in some passa passa!
Our friends over at YardFlex has stated that Star Bwoy Mavado is “again being sought by the police” because members of his entourage allegedly attacked a man and his son in St. James Saturday night, July 23.
The story continues; “It is understood that the complainant parked his car along a section of the Belmont Road about 7:00 p.m. when Mavado, whose given name is David Brooks, and his friends drove up. The artiste reportedly demanded that the man move his vehicle further down the road so they could pass and avoid a pothole. But the man refused.
Members of his entourage then reportedly emerged from the vehicle and began attacking the man and his son with a machete. The man reportedly received face, back and foot injuries. His son was also reportedly injured. He lost several of his teeth and also sustained injuries to his hand.
The matter was reported to the Anchovy Police and the injured man and his son were treated at hospital.”
In an update on the pending case, Mavado‘s attorneys have recently had discussions with the Anchovy police in St James, following the incident.
The artiste’s attorney, Christian Tavares-Finson, says he’s now in contact with the police.
“I have made contact with the police who are responsible for the matter, I am trying to ascertain what the matter is , if they want to speak to him or if they want to charge him ….as far as we are concerned it really is a non issue and I’m confident that it will be sorted out.” said Mr Tavares-Finson
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after the artiste performed at the annual Reggae Sumfest Show at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.
