People in New York City know that every 1st Saturday of every month is popping at the Brooklyn Museum.August 6th, 2011 is all about the Caribbean Countdown at Target’s First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum.

Brooklyn’s very own international Soca ambassador, DJ Spice, will be rocking out the sounds of the Caribbean for the Dance Party at 8-10pm.

Make sure you get there early for some of the free activities for the whole family.

Check out Bajan-born film maker Frances-Ann Solomon‘s What My Mother Told Me, Trinidadian-born actress and comedienne Hazelle Goodman in her show “Don’t Get Me Started” and another Trinidadian, DJ Jillionaire with his Afro-punk-reggae-rock-band, The Cool and the Deadly.
