Haitian-American Actress Garcelle Beauvais divorce from Hollywood Talent Agent Mike Nilon was recently finalized.
E! News confirmed that the “Franklin & Bash” star (and recent Sean Penn dinner companion) is now officially divorced from talent agent Mike Nilon, a little more than a year after she fired off an email to ALL of Nilon’s colleagues at CAA (Creative Artist Agency) informing them all that he was a cheater!
CAA is a prominent entertainment and sports agency headquartered in Los Angeles that represent A-list and emerging stars in movies, television, music, and sports. It is often cited as the world’s leading talent agency and its clients include George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Lebron James, Sandra Bullock, Oprah Winfrey, Julia Roberts, Steven Spielberg, Will Smith and Reese Witherspoon.
Beauvais and Nilon have 3-year-old twin sons together, Jax and Jaid Joseph and will share custody. Garcelle also has a 20-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Per their agreement, Nilon will fork over $5,000 in monthly child support until the kids are 18, plus maintain a $3 million life-insurance policy naming his sons as beneficiaries.
Beauvais, whose income is listed at $250,000 a year (her ex’s bread is a little more filling, at $736,000), will also receive $100,000, a cut of the proceeds from the sale of their Sherman Oaks home, a 2010 Land Rover LRF, half of their furniture and a portion of the money in their various bank accounts.
The actress filed for divorce on May 10, 2010.
“I was angry,” she admitted to E! News last year after her aggressive email blast. “I’m taking it one day at a time, and I’m learning how strong I am.”
Although Garcelle is a participant in the Hollywood scene, she hasn’t forgetten where she came from and actively raises funds for her native Haiti.
