On September 4, 2011, Tarrus Riley will be headlining at Irie Jam Radio’s “Reggae Rhythm & Blues” along with Mavado and Babyface, at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens on Labor Day Sunday.
#FUNFACT: Jamaican Reggae singer Tarrus Riley was actually born in Bronx, New York! Riley is the son of veteran singer Jimmy Riley and nurse Lavern Tatham-Riley. He was born in the Bronx and grew up in South Florida. He began his musical career as a deejay working with Busta Rhymes. He got the name Tarrus from his zodiac sign as his stage name at his mother’s suggestion (the spelling later changed from Taurus to Tarrus).
