Hello folks…
So in our few months of operation here at JAYBLESSED.com, I have had the opportunity to partake in and witness our Caribbean culture in its fully glory. Our Caribbean heritage, stories and it’s people.
With Trinidad C2K12 quickly approaching and our many featured stories on bands such as YUMA, FANTASY, TRIBE and Island People; we were also able to cover the New York carnival bands for Labor Day 2011, which is only two weeks away!
Well, with all the excitement in the air and now having to work directly in Carnival, I have to share my secret. I HAVE NEVER PLAYED MAS!
Yes….Miss Queen of Caribbean Entertainment News and Gossip never chipped down the street in costume yet! Not as a child and not as an adult. So, my dear friend Etophia had this grand idea. She suggested that I waste no more time and at least experience taking advantage of the Eastern Parkway in all of my plumage, glitter and beading…with a camera in tow, of course! So follow me for the next two weeks as I take you with me on my documented journey of having my carnival cherry popped by Caribbean Passion!
