Michelle Downer aka D’Angel aka Beenie’s Man’s soon-to-be ex-wife recently spoke out about her marital woes and pending divorce to Jamaica’s ER.
In the interview D’Angel talks about the breaking points in her relationship with the King of the Dancehall.
“When we’re in the public, my husband adores me and loves me when the cameras are on. When the cameras are off, I have to deal with the harsh reality,”said D’Angel.
D’Angel has also stated that Beenie’s public discussion of their marital problems have been degrading for her. She claims she was dragged through the mud and beaten, “almost like when Christ came to earth.”
But was this an intimate interview or a fashion shoot? Maybe it was just a publicity stunt for her new song, “Break Free.”
Either way, divorce is a difficult process, but a public divorce has to be excruciatingly difficult. We wish them the best.
Here’s an excerpt of D’Angel’s new song:

Gotta accept the changes, it’s time for me to break free,
Pleasing people all my life, this time I’m gonna live for me.”
