Imprisoned reggae superstar, Mark “Buju Banton” Myrie will receive support from his fellow reggae stars as they are planning a benefit concert to aid the star with his pending appeal.
The Buju Banton benefit concert is set to take place on December 3rd in Tampa, Florida to raise money to help assist Buju and his legal team as they attempt to appeal his ten year sentence.
Reportedly, legendary reggae acts such as Tony Curtis, Jigsy King, Gramps Morgan, Glen Washington and Nadine Sutherland have been confirmed for the event. Sutherland and Morgan both performed at Buju’s last show ( and last performance) before his trial, Before The Dawn concert back in January in Miami.
Since his conviction, Buju’s long-time friend and fellow Reggae artiste, Delly Ranx has dedicated profits from their collaborative single entitled, “Thunder Roll” to the “Destiny” singer’s commissary account while he languishes in prison.
