Fresh from her win last week, Trinidadian designer, Anya Ayoung-Chee won yet another challenge on Project Runway Season 9, this time raking in a $20,000 prize!
Last night’s challenge was centered around being inspired by birds and our girl surely flew away with the money.
Heidi Klum told the designers they will be creating high fashion looks – inspired by birds! Their muses were an Amazon, Raven and Cockatoo.
The designers are divided into groups of two, however, the twist was that it was a head-to-head challenge – designers in each group competing against one another.
Raven – Anya & Laura
Amazon Parrot – Joshua & Bert
Cockatoo – Viktor & Kimberly
In the end, our girl Anya Ayoung-Chee was the winning designer of the challenge, but also won prizes of appearing in a Marie Claire editorial shoot and a $20,000 cash prize!
Next Week: Inspiration from a wonderful art from Stormking in mid-state New York seems to be the final challenge for the final five. This should be interesting!
Project Runway airs on Lifetime TV on Thursdays at 9PM ET.

I actually though anya’s dress was awful, but she is a good designer.

Anya was my big fave since the start of 2011 season. Her designs were so wearable aside from being so chic. When I thought she wouldn’t make it to the top 3 for the finals I thought the judges made the wrong decision and I was so happy for her when they decided to include her for the final round. Anya deserves to be the winner. I will buy her creations matter of fact I’m already browsing on the net to see if any of her creations are already available!!!
Good for you Anya, you deserve to win. You go girl!
