So yesterday facebok, twitter and BBM were ablaze with a picture circulating of 2011 International Soca Monarch Machel Montano with a brand new look.
Could it be a photoshopped picture? Did he just pull his hair back? Could he really have cut his hair and shaved his face? Is this his new look for the Soul Train Music Awards? Or his look for the upcoming video for “Vibes Cyah Done?”
Nuff questions and speculations are flying around but it really just looks like dude got a good facial.
Besides, I’ll wait to see him for myself or for him to come out and say he cut his hair before I spread that news.

UPDATED: As suspected, this was all a publicity stunt. Machel did not cut his locks, but actually pull it back. On November 10th he posted this pic to prove he still had his locks.

They were thinning on the top really bad so would not be shocked if he did cut them but let me just ask who is ready for the lyrical war that will come from this because you KNOW Bunji is Machel’s biggest fan(wink) and if this is true and Machel did cut his locks I have a feeling Bunji will say Machel trying to be swaggarific like him

We grew up with Machel growing his locks and facial hair, so after all that time yes he does look strange,but photoshop or not he is who he is and that can’t be cut or shaved off so if he likes his new look im happy for him.
