Nadia Batson’s not about to miss a beat as the season of revelry in Trinidad and Tobago unfolds. The heightened level of intensity is owed to her strong yearning to give only the best of herself and her band SASS, in C2K12 and beyond.
On the heels of the band’s launch last Wednesday, November 9 at Anchorage, Batson on Thursday, November 17 released a single she had been perfecting for weeks. No Pressure was produced by Martian Music and mastered by GBM Productions out of NYC.
“This one is for the ladies- We don’t want no pressure!” said Batson who wrote the track herself. Its groove is melodically enticing, soothing on the ear and uncompromising on the waistline’s all round agenda. Every woman will love No Pressure, according to Team SASS!
Online, the Buzz has been wild for Nadia Batson. In 2011, she told the media that she was doing everything for the people of Trinidad and Tobago. She’d performed twice at the International Soca Monarch Competition with fellow artistes, Tallpree of Grenada and Patrice Roberts of the HD Family, and even then, a very humble, low-key Batson, told reporters that it wasn’t about winning- it was about doing the best that she could.
2012 is proving to however be a different dynamic. In the season ahead, Nadia will prove herself further- being the first bandleader of an all-female soca band out of Trinidad and Tobago. She’s on a natural high and her music is proof enough. No Pressure has been released to radio stations across the length and breadth of T&T and overseas.
She’s hoping that with the help of her loyal supporters, this track- ‘her pet track’- will be as huge as recent releases.
