We keep seeing these very ingenious ways people are now adapting to conceal drugs for trafficking.
South African Nobanda Nolubabalo, 23, was arrested and held in Thailand’s after customs officers allegedly noticed a suspicious white substance in her hair. Airline security “found something unusual about her dreadlocks,” and upon closer inspection noticed that there was a “matted white substance,” in them.
Her fake dreadlocks contained 1.5 kilograms!
Now…though I will never condone the use of drugs nor trafficking, as a black woman I find it very disturbing to see people (other than a hair stylist) rummage through a black woman’s hair!
Universal Black woman law #1 is – “Never touch the hair!”
Anyway, Ms. Nolubabalo’s creativity and attempt to make either herself or someone else money may have just cost her – her life!
Nolubabalo’s arrest comes in the wake of the execution of another South African woman for attempting to smuggle crystal meth through Ghangzhou, China. South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma appealed to the Chinese government to commute her sentence; they refused.
