Trinidadian-born Grammy and Tony winning artiste Heather Headley, delivered an historic performance this past Saturday at NAPA, Port of Spain.
The former Broadway star (The Lion King) and “Barataria girl” entertained the thousands that packed NAPA for the BGTT charity concert, with a two hour musical repertoire that included a mixture of genres ranging from opera to gospel to R&B to Christmas carols!
Headley was backed by her own band, however the concert featured local acts, including Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars, Bishop Anstey High School and Sixth Form Government Polytechnic choirs and the Alternative Quartet.
The phenomenal concert was held to raise funds for two organizations, Foundation for the Enhancement and Enrichment of Life (FEEL) and United Way.
Don’t we just love it when our stars come back home?
