The $5 million X Factor winner, Melanie Amaro, has just signed a recording contract with Epic Records.

Amaro, 19, will record under the leadership of Epic Records Chairman/CEO and The X Factor judge Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

Reid is “pleased” to have signed Amaro, and Simon Cowell gave his approval, saying in the release: “I joined ‘The X Factor’ to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie.” He added, “I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent.”

L.A. made it clear that “..Epic would be the right fit for Melanie.”

And how does Melanie feel about her new recording contract?
