Trinidad and Tobago is the Caribbean T20 Champions for 2012 after beating Jamaica by 63 runs.
Playing in the final match of the tournament in Bridgetown, Barbados, the Red Force Cricket Team took the bat first and made a final score of 168-6, while Jamaica, with wickets falling at regular intervals, managed to score 105-5 at the end of 20 overs.

Dwayne Bravo took the Star of the Match in the Caribbean Final and Kieron Pollard was named Caribbean Tournament MVP.
Dwayne Bravo named Man of the Match for his 49 runs. He also picked up wickets in the final match. At the presentation ceremony, he thanked God and T&T fans and said T&T’s track record in tournament finals, as well as their wins before, helped play a part in their latest victory. He said the team has confidence, is strong, and their captain, Dinesh Ramdhin, had a big role to play in their journey to the finals.
Man of the Series went to Kierron Pollard for his 153 average. Pollard said he did not want to be pigeon-holed as a “five over cricketer” and made up his mind during the series to win the Man of the Series title. He added that he never doubted the Red Force in their journey to the final match.
Jamaica’s Nkrumah Bonner was named the Star of the Tournament.
T&T also qualifies for Champions League 2012. This year will be the country’s third time competing in the Champions League.
