American rapper, singer, record producer and actor, Snoop Dogg, is the latest foreign act to visit Jamaica to record new material.
Just recently R&B superstar, Alicia Keys as well as Senegalese rap superstar, Akon visited Jamaica to work on new music, while Ne-Yo has already set up shop with recording label, Compound Island.
In a recent YouTube video on February 6, Snoop Dogg had announced that he will be traveling to Jamaica in the near future to record a new single. The announcement was made during Snoop’s video in which he paid tribute to reggae legend Bob Marley on his 67th birthday by puffing marijuana while playing and singing one of Marley’s single, So Much Trouble.
With his fondness for marijuana, this might be more of a coming home experience for Snoop.
Snoop Dogg, is recording at the ultra exclusive Geejam’ studio (where Alicia Keys recorded).
Check out his video below where he pays homage t the late great Robert Nesta Marley:
Snoop Dogg referred to himself as ‘Bob Marley reincarnated’…hmmm….that must be some serious high grade! LOL
We can’t wait to hear what Snoop has been cooking down in Jamrock.
