Beenie Man did not appear on 106 & Park with Nicki Minaj because…

The hype for the King of the Dancehall Beenie Man to grace the BET 106 & Park’s stage with Nicki Minaj – totally failed!

This past Monday, the Jamaican deejay did not appear on 106 & Park alongside Trinidadian superstar Minaj, due to issues arising with his U.S. visa.

Word from Beenie Man’s camp have stated that the Jamaican superstar does not own a work permit but rather a visitor’s visa. Beenie Man’s camp chose not to risk jeopardizing his U.S. visa standing by performing, since there is some lack of clarity in relation to whether Beenie’s performance on a major U.S. television network would qualify for a royalty distribution, therefore violating terms of his visitor’s visa.

Shoot…Beenie Man could have just profiled on the show….he didn’t have to perform!

I hope he gets his O-Visa status re-instated!
