The name ShorBlu is synonymous for the sexiest, classiest, most innovative and stylish Caribbean events in New York City. Shorblu Events is known for their premier, longest running, weekly Caribbean after work Thursday event – VICE, however, are gearing up to celebrate five years in the business with their first famous signature event, Sutra de Mayo.
Fresh off the high of their most recent KES 360 concert at Best Buy Theater, Manhattan will come alive again on May 6th for Shorblu Event’s Sutra de Mayo, at the luxurious 404 Lounge (404 10th Avenue at 33rd Street) in New York.

When asked how it feels to be celebrating five years in the business, President of Marketing and Promotions, Andre Martindale replied: “We are so grateful to be able to celebrate such and achievement. It was a long, hard & sometimes very bumpy road. But we are still here and we are still growing.”
What can people expect for Sutra?
“Sutra epitomizes what ShorBlu’s Design DNA Structure is for its events. An uber chic venue, the hottest music, great vibe, well dressed and beautiful people not to mention “the who’s who” complete with food and optional premium open bar. Not to mention some of the Hottest Dj’s in the game,” Martindale confidently stated.
The team was originally founded five years ago with the original members Shorne Benjamin, Curtis Marshall, Weyni Clacken & Andre Martindale. However, Benjamin and Clacken have both moved on in new endeavors with Randall Bourne being the newest addition.

With regular celebrities sighting at their events, Shorblu has entertained famous people such as, actors Anthony Anderson (Barbershop, Scary Movie), Dule Hill (Psych), Michael Jai White (Why Did I Get Married), Mekhi Phifer, Malik Yoba; Project Runway Season 9 winner Anya Ayoung Chee, AJ Calloway, Machel Montano and hundreds more over the last five years.
