Reggae singjay I-Octane has reportedly settled an issue with a Jamaican promoter following the premature end of a stage show he was due to perform on.

Promoter Tia Reinford demanded compensation from I-Octane after the prominent artiste failed to meet his performance obligations during the Westmoreland Kite Festival on New Year’s Day. The event was cut short after patrons threw bottles on stage after I-Octane’s set abruptly ended.

Reportedly, I-Octane asked event organizers to dim the light during his set but event organizers were unable to meet his demand. As a result, I-Octane walked off stage in disgust, prompting the incident. On Thursday, Reinford announced during a radio interview that she and the Crying to the Nation singer will offer fans a free concert in Savanna-La-Mar, Westmoreland on April 28.

The promoter hailed I-Octane’s kind gesture and its practicality. “I just want to say thanks to I-Octane and I hope everybody is really ready to come out and want the fans who came at Kite Festival to see I-Octane to know that they will be compensated on April 28 at Coconut Grooves and they can all just turn up,” she said.

In the meantime, I-Octane has released singles so far this month such as the Stashment Records produced, Bully and Fake Frenz on the DJ Frass produced, Di Struggles Riddim.
