Veteran singer Richie Stephens hosted a successful release reception on Thursday, June 14, 2012 for his new gospel album titled “God Is On My Side” at Finn Partners in New York.
At the launch, Stephens was presented with a ‘Congressional Proclamation’ from Congressman Gregory W. Meeks, (NY-06) office for his 27 year contribution to the music industry.
Stephens also presented Irie Jam, 93.5 FM, NY radio host Dubb Master Chris with a framed copy of his gospel album for his long standing support of his career over the past 20 years.
The 12 track disc, which was released on the VP Records imprint, includes powerful original songs like “God Is On My Side,” “Tears” and “In The Name of God.” It also features traditional gospel songs like “Why Me Lord,” “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Only A Fool” and “A Change Is Gonna Come.” (Tony Turner)
