We’re only in the middle of 2012 and Complex Magazine has released their 50 Best albums of 2012 List and guess whose album made the cut?
Mr. Sweet Jamaica himself, Mr. Vegas!
Mr. Vegas is ranked as number 34 for his 2012 album, Sweet Jamaica. His self produced double album exemplifies his versatility and passion for music and his country. The first disc demonstrates his flexibility as he gives us a dose of classic reggae hits with songs from legends such as Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, Toots and the Maytals and many others.
The second disc takes us on a passage into his love for dancehall with popular hits such as “Certain Law,” “Party Tun Up,” “Whine For Me Baby” featuring Patrice Roberts plus the very hot “Bruk it Down.”
Jamaican must be very proud of Mr. Vegas as the Sweet Jamaica album was done to celebrate Jamaica’s 50th Independence anniversary.
Huge shoutout to Mr. Vegas for this colossal recognition!!!
