BEHIND THE SCENES: Nicki Minaj in Trinidad filming “Pound The Alarm” (VIDEO)

“We’re in my homeland, where I was born,” says Nicki Minaj at the start of the behind the scenes video of her recent visit to Trinidad to film the Pound The Alarm music video.

From her arrival at Piarco International airport swarmed by fans, to her filming scenes at the Hyatt, in Belmont and at the Queens Park Savannah with revelers, the short clip shows a joyous Minaj…happy to be home.

“I never thought in a million years that I would ever do this,” said Minaj in reference to filming the PTA video in Trinidad.

The buoyant beauty even dabbled in her local dialect when she stated, “Oh…yuh shoulda lehme wear meh Trinidad flag!”
