So….I know you girls AND guys watch the weekly scripted ratchedness in the form of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
Whether it’s the hilariously crazy love triangle storyline with Joseline, Mimi and Steebie (Stevie J), figuring out who’s more man between Momma Dee and Deb or observing the “aspiring” musical careers of Rasheeda, K. Michel and Karlie Redd – this show is MADNESS!!!
In case it slipped you last night while you were watching Joseline recover from beating Steebie down, Ms. Karlie Redd was caught in another white lie.
Karlie Redd (who at this moment in the show) is dating rapper Benzino, was accused of spending too much time with her non-existent career and not in daily devotion to Benzino.
Anyhoo….Mr. Man played Karlie’s card when he stated that she lied to him about working with Jamaicans when she really went to work with the “Trini artiste her mom wanted her to hook up with!” Remember when I posted the pic of Karlie in studio with Machel, Aaron Fresh and more?

Well yes mama…..what do they say…..tropical birds of a feather….because Karlie made that connection with your favorite soca siren, Machel Montano.
Now we all know that “hook up” wasn’t meant as juut a studio session. Right?
Karlie then makes matters worst, playing Benzino for a fool by saying, “Jamaican…Trini….same thing!”
What!?!?!?! O_0

MEANWHILE, it has been confirmed that Karlie and Benzino’s relationship was scripted for the show, since they had something going on prior to the taping of LAHHAtl.
In an interview he did with The Breakfast Club, Benzino sure made it appear that way as he assured viewers not to be deceived, Benzino and Karlie Redd didn’t just jump right into a relationship and start living together, it took some time:
“Before she got the key, it had probably be like two months…It was a couple of months before I gave her the key”
Benzino made it a point to also say that what him and Karlie had was a real relationship, further confirming that the two have gone their separate ways:
“We definitely had a real relationship, you know what I’m saying…When I say had it’s more less from like what you’ve seen, that was real”
The fact that Benzino and Karlie had been dating for awhile before the show hints that they faked meeting each other for the first time on the show, making the meeting of theirs yet another scripted element of the show.
Benzino was asked about whether or not he thought Karlie Redd had talent. Stalling for a few minutes, he responded that he thought she did bring something to the table musically, even though he once blasted her for not having a drop of it:
“Karlie, you know what she does the Patois really good. She’s from Trinidad. You know she has a voice, you know what I’m saying. A lot of singing out here is auto-tuned up anyways…I think definitely producers can work with her. She let me hear a lot of her music and stuff…I believe she has talent”
