VIDEO: Rihanna reveals a side never seen before on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” filmed in Barbados

Today the world is talking about Rihanna’s groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter, which aired last night on OWN.

At 24 years old, Rihanna is a living legend in her own right. She is the highest selling digital artiste in US history album with over 50 million downloads, has 6 Grammys in her 8 year career, the youngest artiste ever to score 11 #1 singles, all while grossing over $53 million dollars last year in music sales and endorsement deals.

But the interview wasn’t so much about her accolades but more about the woman behind the music, her struggles, her happiness, more about “Who is Rihanna?

Set in the backdrop of Barbados, Rihanna intimated to Oprah the hardships of living up to the expectations of people, she divulge on feel suffocated when she first entered the music industry at 16 and also shed some tears when speaking of her (recently deceased) Gran Gran Dolly’s influence on her life.

“Title of role model has become a title of perfection…..I am a work in progress.”

One of the realest moments came when Rihanna opened up about Chris Brown in a way never heard before. In one of the most genuinely moving description, she spoke of how concerned she was for him more than herself. She even stated that her stomach drops whenever she sees him.

Despite the camera and lights, Rihanna professed the love she still possesses for him and vocalized that her feelings will never go away. She called Breezy her first love and love of her life. (That’s some deep ish!)

Another moving moment was Rihanna gifting her mother, Monica, with the keys to a brand new luxury home in Barbados.
