Legendary reggae superstar, Robert Nesta Marley, was recently posthumously honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Award is a replacement version of the same lifetime achievement award that he received in 2001. Reports are that a Recording Academy personnel recently visited Jamaica and noticed that the original version of Marley’s lifetime Grammy had been damaged. The personnel then thought it appropriate to create a new version of said award.
Bob Marley’s eldest son, Ziggy Marley, and his daughter Karen Marley were on hand at the Los Angeles Film School on Sunset Boulevard to received the award following a screening of the new documentary movie “Marley” – a documentary on the life, music and legacy of Bob Marley.
