C2W Music is the Caribbean’s first publicly-listed and traded Intellectual Property company, is pleased to announce the completion of its fifth songwriting camp, on the beautiful Island of Anguilla. In attendance were nine world-class songwriters, including four C2W songwriters, Candy Gloster, Mark Cyrus and newly signed Rupert Gayle and Shazelle.

Accompanying the songwriters were Max Gousse, Senior Vice President of A&R for Island/Def Jam Records, Qiana Conley, A&R Consultant to JLS (massive British pop boy’s band) and C2W’s CEO, Ivan Berry. In a one-week series of collaborations throughout 3 mobile recording studios, the songwriters have written another 17 songs in the pop genre.

The Anguilla camp was another ground- breaking event. C2W has successfully shopped some of the songs to known artistes for recording, including Glee star, Amber Riley, and new boy band Mindless Behavior.

Earlier in the year, multi-platinum recording artist on Def Jam, Jeremih, was in attendance at C2W’s songwriting camp in Barbados and recently released one of our songs entitled, ‘Ahh Sh*t.’

C2W Music will host our sixth songwriting camp locally (Jamaica) in early September. The camps aim to develop song writing talent through collaborations with international songwriters and industry executives.

We have a lot planned for this camp and we hope we can gather the support of the Jamaican media. This camp will have a lot of surprises and certainly an opportunity for the directors and shareholders to see their investment at work, through local media initiatives.

The search for talent is handled by CEO’s Ivan Berry and C2W’s president and director of operations, Derek Wilkie focuses on talented Caribbean songwriters across popular music genres, rather than traditional Caribbean music, to enhance the marketability of the catalogue and hence C2W’s revenue-earning potential.

In other C2W Music news, we are pleased to announce that, as of this date, the company now has intellectual property ownership in over 550 songs, and continues to be well ahead of Business Plan projections.
