Athletes from Cuba and Jamaica have done well for the Caribbean in the 14thParalympics Games in London thus far. These games which began on August 29 and ends September 9, 2012 are held for athletes with physical disabilities.

Cuba is leading the Caribbean medal count with a total of 13 medals, seven of those gold, four silver and 2 bronze; Jamaica comes in second with one gold medal.
Cuban Dalidaivis Rodriguez Clark, 29, gave her country its first gold medal in Judo. Cuba received its other medals in athletics, judo and swimming; Jamaica’s lone gold medal was given to them by Alphanso Cunningham, 32, in the javelin event.
