Before the new school year started, dancehall artiste Tanto Blacks played his part in giving back to his community.

The former Magnum Kings and Queen contestant held his first ever back-to-school treat titled ‘Full Moon Over The Roof’ on September 1, at Old Harbour Road in St Catherine.

“Mi a gi way books, pens, pencils and school bags. From mi enter Magnum Kings and Queens competition, mi a walk and beg people fi help me. The people dem always a support me because dem love Tanto Blacks, so now a my time to help them,” Tanto said.

Although the event was geared towards assisting parents with their back-to-school needs, Blacks also treated the adults of the community.

“Well fi di elders mi a give way flashlights, LIME phonecards and some LIME phones, we haffi support all a di people dem who did support Tanto Blacks,” he said.

In the meantime, Tanto Blacks is gearing up for the release of his new single Loving It, which will be released in September.

“Mi just come from Antigua and me shell down two shows, so me fans can look out for my new single a come out September. Tweet tweet.”

The event was sponsored by LIME, Magnum Tonic Wine and Solid Agency.
