Grenada’s Prime Minister Tillman Thomas faces a second no-confidence motion levelled against his administration in the past three months.
Former foreign affairs minister Karl Hood filed the motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Thomas on Friday August 24.
Mr. Thomas has reportedly been meeting with political allies to ensure the survival of his the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Mr. Hood is the second minister to resign from the Thomas administration.
He is also the fourth NDC Member of Parliament to move from cabinet member to the backbench of the House of Representative, leaving Thomas with a minority of seven government parliamentarians.
General elections are constitutionally due in Grenada by July 2013.
