Amidst the recent public outburst of his personal relationship issues, Mr. Vegas was able to put that aside to perform at The Rockhouse Foundation‘s annual benefit at Joe’s Pub on October 3, 2012.

The night was filled with amazing dinner, performance, and a live auction benefiting the children of Jamaica.

The artiste was quoting on his facebook page saying, “Thanks to God almighty, for giving me the strength to perform at the RockHouse Foundation’s annual benefit to raise money to build schools in Jamaica this evening. I felt like heaven lifted some of my troubles off my shoulders.”

Mr. Vegas performed a rousing rendition of “I Am Ready To Rise Again” at this year’s benefit.

Proceeds of the event will fund the ongoing work of the Rockhouse Foundation in the Negril Area Community of Jamaica, as well as the renovation and expansion of the Bunch of Stars Pre-K School in Old Hope, Westmoreland.

Over the past eight years, the Rockhouse Foundation has invested over US$1,500,000 in community projects. Every cent of every donation supports Jamaicans in need. Projects are concrete, have an impact you can see, and most importantly, immeasurably improve the lives of children who need and deserve the same opportunities as children everywhere.
