Jay Blessed is the acclaimed, Queen of Caribbean Entertainment News and Gossip!
The media personality has been involved in the NY-Caribbean circuit since 2004 but recently added blogger to her title, after the birth of her website JayBlessed.com, in April 2011.
Her broadcasting career includes being the Hostess of Timeplus Beats TV- a NY Caribbean weekly TV show; a correspondent for CARIBVision Network and being a part of their first ever broadcast of WIADCA’s Labor Day celebrations LIVE to 19 countries in 2007! Her face has been featured on many Urban New York, Caribbean and Public Access TV shows and has also appeared on MTV Tempo’s “Live and Direct” 1-year anniversary show.
Jay Blessed has made a name for herself as a radio personality on numerous New York/Caribbean radio stations. From 2006, Jay Blessed has had many radio shows including “Callaloo” a three-times a week Caribbean community affairs show, plus a late night radio show titled, “True Confessions,” during her reign as the First Lady of New York’s Fire Station. Her expertise and passion for radio afforded her other opportunities, including host of a weekly Sunday gospel program titled “Soul Sundays,” on the now defunct 88.9fm in and her recent seasonal “Femme Fatale Fridays” radio show with Sugarcane Restaurant owner – Charmaine Gumbs, on The Flava Station in New York City
Her weekly uncensored webshow, Straight Talk – No Chaser airs each and every Wednesday (seasonal) with Courtney K. Williams at 9pmET on Ustream Ustream.tv. Jay has also contributed her weekly syndicated 60 second entertainment report to many radio shows in the U.S. states.
Her résumé also includes work for one of New York’s biggest Caribbean concert promotion companies and a NY based Caribbean lifestyle magazine. Having worked closely with many Caribbean and international artistes and celebrities on interviews, special events and concerts, she has developed and maintained strong bonds with celebs and fellow industry folks.

On July 17th, Team Jay Blessed in association with Leading Ladies presented “Hear Their Cries” – an open mic dedicated to victims of domestic violence.
Jay Blessed Media was the official media sponsor for the inaugural Caribbean Beach Festival at Jones Beach Nikon Theater on July 8th 2012, starring Machel Montano, HD Family, Cham, I-Octane, Kerwin DuBois, Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy to name a few.
Over the summer of 2012, the vivacious personality also threw her hat into the search for a new host of BET’s 106 & Park.
Another highlight for the relatively new blogger was in October 2012 when JayBlessed.com was nominated as one of six finalists (out out hundreds of entries), in the “Best New Blog” category of the Black Weblog Awards.
