Mavado’s just seems to be the topic today.

Last Saturday night at The March of Three Kings concert, headlined by Mavado, Elephant Man and Wayne Marshall, gunshots were fired and a stampede occurred. MAVADO DISSES KMC

So the story goes like this, Mavado appeared on Synergy TV to promote his show in Trinidad. However, when Host Jason Williams asked him about his collaboration with Soca star Ken Marlon Charles aka KMC (known for his famous track Soul on Fire), Mavado out right denies that the person on the track is not him. He resoundingly says “THAT’S NOT ME” three times!

Well word got back to KMC about Mavado’s claims and KMC did what any Caribbean star would do….he took it to twitter. One of his tweets was sent to Wayne Marshall but…

IRAWMA Awards heads to Trinidad

This year the historic 30th International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 28th 2011, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain, Trinidad. (pictured above)

The Awards weekend celebration begins Thursday, May 26th and continues through Monday, May 30th, 2011. Foxy Brown is back in the news…again! This time, Tom Joyner revealed on his morning radio show that he kicked her off his Fantastic Voyage cruise, due to her”foxy-like” behavior that we have grown to hear about.

I’ve had the pleasure of working behind the scenes for Biyome Muir aka I-Octane…big shout out to his management Destine Media!

On a serious note, I-Octane seems to have popped out from no where but he has put many years in the business and is now reaping his rewards. Definitely one of the Caribbean’s rising cultural ambassadors and he is seriously dominating the reggae scene and even the award shows! Stephen Marley live in NYC 3/30

Reggae lovers are gearing up for next week’s big “Anything Goes” concert in NYC, presented by Tha Gov, DJ Norie.

Headlining is Reggae’s royal blood – Stephen Marley and his band The Ghetto Youths Crew. The cast also includes Barrington Levy, Richie Spice and Romain Virgo. These reggae kings will hit the legendary BB Kings stage in Times Square on Wednesday 30th March.

It’s Norie’s 2nd year “Anything Goes” anniversary for which he has his weekly Caribbean show (after the same name), every Sunday on New York’s #1 Urban Station – Power 105.1 from 8pm.

Get that paper Norie… you’re my hero! LOL
